HUMBOLDT — Humboldt RCMP have released more details about an incident where a pedestrian was hit crossing Main Street.
Police said they were dispatched to the scene on June 4 at approximately 1:20 p.m.
They said a 78 year old female pedestrian was struck by a northbound vehicle as she crossed Main Street near the post office at a marked pedestrian crosswalk.
The woman suffered non-life threatening injuries, and was transported by Humboldt EMS to the Humboldt District Health Center for treatment.
The female driver of the northbound vehicle was not injured.
Humboldt RCMP, Fire and EMS all assisted on scene and with the investigation. Traffic was restricted to one lane for approximately half an hour, but has since been re-opened to all traffic.
RCMP said the investigation is ongoing and no charges have been laid at this time.
