Hwy. 5 closed for paving

A section of Hwy. 5 - the Main Street and 8th Avenue intersection, also known as the Hwy. 5 and Hwy. 20 intersection - located between 7th St. and 9th St. will be temporarily closed this week to allow for paving.

Road crews started working on Hwy. 5 on September 10. A section of the road will remain closed until repairs are completed.


A section of Hwy. 5 - the Main Street and 8th Avenue intersection, also known as the Hwy. 5 and Hwy. 20 intersection - located between 7th St. and 9th St. will be temporarily closed this week to allow for paving.
Work on the road began on September 10. It is anticipated to be completed by the end of the week, weather permitting.
A temporary four-way stop will be set up at 4th Ave. and Main Street to assist traffic during this time.
Local access will be granted to residences and businesses within the detour route.
Drivers are advised to follow all on-site detour directions and allow extra room for trucks and semi-trailers to make wide turns.
