Battlefords RCMP had a busy time between 6 a.m. Saturday, March 22 and 6 a.m. Sunday, March 23, responding to 51 calls for service/occurrences.
Among the calls were five false alarms, four false/nuisance 911 calls and one noise complaint.
Saturday
12:06 p.m. - Report of a vehicle broken into on 99th Street.
12:18 p.m. - Report of a missing 14-year-old girl. She was located a few hours later and she is safe.
12:30 p.m. - Report of a credit card fraud/identity theft. Still under investigation.
1:34 p.m. - Report of a three-year-old boy lost and without supervision. Child returned to parents. Social Services to follow up.
1:43 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated person trying to drive away from a residence. Police located the man before he could get to his vehicle. Arrested for drunk in public and lodged until sober. Charged for liquor offence.
3:57 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated person in a business causing problems. Police arrested a 49-year-old man. He has been charged for failing to comply with his conditions. Lodged until sober. Released for court.
4:36 p.m. - Traffic stop on 102nd Street. 70-year-old male driver arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. He has been charged for impaired driving and refusing to provide breath sample. Released for court date.
7:19 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated person in a business. Police attended and arrested a 30-year-old woman. She was lodged in cells until sober.
8:26 p.m. - Report of a fight in an apartment. Police attended. Three intoxicated males were arrested and lodged in cells until sober. Complainant did not want charges.
9:24 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated person at a business. Police attended and arrested a 27-year-old man for being drunk in public/cause disturbance. Lodged in cell until sober.
9:28 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave a business. Police attended. The subject of complaint left prior to police arrival.
10:04 p.m. - Traffic stop on 100th Street. Three persons arrested for breaching their conditions. Woman to be remanded to court March 24.
11:27 p.m. - Report of an intoxicated person refusing to leave a business. Police attended and arrested an 18-year-old man. He had an arrest warrant outstanding and was later released for court.
11:48 p.m. - Traffic stop on 100th Street. Man driver issued 24-hour suspension. Also arrested on outstanding warrants. Released for court.
Sunday
12:11 a.m. - Report of a possible impaired driver on Railway Avenue. Vehicle located. Driver not impaired. 27-year-old man driver was arrested for obstruction. Intoxicated female passenger refused to leave the area after cab came to pick her up. She was arrested. She is now charged for resisting arrest. Both lodged in cells until sober. Both released for court.
12:46 a.m. - Traffic stop on Highway 4 North. Man driver arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. Charges laid and the man has been released for a court date.
3:33 a.m. - Traffic stop on Highway16 bypass. Driver was impaired. 23-year-old man was arrested and is now charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and driving while suspended. Lodged in cells until sober. Released for court date.
4:46 a.m. - Report of a possible impaired driver on Battleford Road. Vehicle located. Driver arrested a 31-year-old man charged for impaired operation of a motor vehicle. Lodged in cells until sober. Released for court date. 29-year-old man passenger found to be breaching his probation. Arrested and lodged until sober. He is charged for fail to comply. Released for court date.
5:26 a.m. - Report of an intoxicated person near Highway16 bypass. Man located and arrested for being drunk in public. Lodged in cells until sober.
