Lloydminster man charged with child pornography offences

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) has charged an adult male from Lloydminster, SK. with child pornography and breach offences.

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) has charged an adult male from Lloydminster, SK. with child pornography and breach offences.  Brian James HANSON, age 26, has been charged with the following offences;
 
Luring a Child Under the Age of Sixteen (172.1(1)(b)cc)
Making Explicit Material Available to a Child under Sixteen (171.1(1)(b)cc)
Breach of a Recognizance (145(3)cc)
 
On April 6, 2017 the Saskatchewan ICE Unit received a complaint of an individual having sexually explicit conversations with a 14 year old girl on a popular social media application. The investigation identified a residence in Lloydminster where the activity had occurred. On June 14 a search warrant was executed at this residence where Brian HANSON was arrested and held in custody.
 
Brian HANSON appeared in Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Lloydminster at 10:00 am on June 15. He was remanded in custody until June 22 at 10:00 am.
 
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the RCMP, Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
