Man chases individual with a machete in Cochin

Battlefords RCMP responded to 43 calls for service over this time period Thursday, Sept. 7, 6 a.m. –  Friday, Sept. 8, 6 a.m., including but not limited to the following:
 
2:38 p.m.          Police called to a business located in the Resort Village of Cochin.  A 20-year-old male was chasing another male around with a machete.  Both individuals were gone on police arrival.  The suspect was identified to police and further investigation is under way.  There were no injuries reported by witnesses.
 
05:18 p.m.        Police called to a vehicle collision on 100 St. in North Battleford.  Three vehicles were involved in the collision.  It was undetermined if there were injuries and no one was transported to hospital.  The drivers included a 68-year-old male and a 31-year-old female both from North Battleford as well as a 43-year-old male from Battleford.  One person has been charged with Disobeying a Stop Sign and Driving Without Due Care and Attention under the Traffic Safety Act. Further investigation is underway.
