Man wants stolen cellphone returned

North Battleford RCMP responded to about 20 calls for service between 6 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4.

Police responded to two alarms, two disturbance complaints, one fraud investigation, six traffic investigations and one person reported missing, who was quickly located.

Tuesday

• Complaint made of a hit and run on 102nd Street. Complaint made shortly after 10 a.m. alleging they were struck by a car while walking shortly after 3 p.m. Feb. 2, but were not injured. Suspect vehicle described as being an older green car. Last seen eastbound on 11th Avenue.

• A report made in the afternoon of an incident near the intersection of 100th Street and 11th Avenue which was reported to have occurred at about midnight. Complainant advised he was assaulted by an unknown male and had his cellphone stolen. No description of suspect was provided and complainant did not wish to co-operate with investigation, only wanted cellphone returned. Still ongoing.

• Complaint of a hit and run, occurred between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Feb. 2 in a parking lot on the 1000 block of 107th Street. Vehicle sustained front-end damage and darker paint transferred from offending vehicle.

• Two-vehicle collision on Highway 4 on north edge of city, no injuries reported. One vehicle had to be towed from scene due to significant damage. Cause remains under investigation.

• Theft of a cellphone reported, believed to have occurred at 9 p.m. on Carlton Trail.
