The North Battleford RCMP detachment responded to more than 90 calls for service between 6 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24 and 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27.
The following are a selection of the calls made during that time.
Friday
A 35-year-old man was arrested after making at least five frivolous 911 calls shortly after 11 a.m. Oct. 24 accusing his ex-wife of stealing from him.The subject was extremely intoxicated and located walking on 110th Street. He was later released from custody on one charge of making false or frivolous 911 calls.
An 18-year-old man is facing one count of mischief under $5,000 after an incident on Diefenbaker Drive shortly before 1 p.m. Oct. 24.The suspect was arguing with the owner of the vehicle and is alleged to have gotten angry and damaged a window before leaving the area.
A vehicle parked on the 1100 block of 109th Street was reported damaged some time during the evening of Oct. 23 and early morning of Oct. 24.Several scratch markslocated on body of vehicle.
A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged with one count of break and enter after attending to a residence on the 1400 block of 101st Street and damaging the door to gain entry.The accused and victim are known to each other and alcohol appears to have been a factor.The man has since been released and will appear in court Nov. 24.
A 37-year-old man was arrested at a business on Railway Avenue shortly after 9 p.m.There was an altercation between the man and employees at the business and the suspect is alleged to have made threats towards the employee.The suspect is facing one count of uttering threats.
Saturday
Members investigated a call of mischief after a report of an intoxicated man damaging a window to a home on the 1800 block of 102nd Street at approximately 4 a.m.The suspect is known to the victim and left area prior to police arrival.
Members called to an assault complaint at a residence shortly after 5 a.m. on the 1400 block of 105th Street.The victimreported she hadsustained a cut to her hand after being attacked with a pair of scissors.The suspect is also alleged to have damaged a vehicle parked in the driveway before fleeing the scene.A 21-year-old man was arrested a short time later at another residence in the city without incident and is facing charges of assault with a weapon, uttering threats and two counts of mischief under $5,000. The accused has since been released on numerous conditions pending his first appearance in North Battleford provincial Court.
A 38-year-old woman has been charged with fraudulently obtaining food after a complaint of a patron leaving without paying for meal at a business on Highway 16 Bypass.
Report of a stolen bank card that was taken some time over the preceding two days. The suspect provided known to the alleged victim.
A 21-year-old man has been charged with one count of failing to comply with a recognizance after violation of a curfew during a check by police.
Sunday
A 36-year-old man is facing charges of impaired driving and driving over .08 after a vehicle stop on 108th Street.The accused has since been released and is to make his first appearance in North Battleford Court Nov. 10.
A Grey 2006 GMC Sierra with Saskatchewan License 482 ITY was reported stolen from the 1100 block of 103rd Street some time between 9 p.m. Oct. 25 and 7:15 a.m. Oct. 26.
A 34-year-old man was arrested on outstanding warrants at a residence on the 1500 block of 92nd Street.He is also facing one new count of resisting arrest after a brief struggle with the arresting officers.The accused remains in custody and appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court Monday morning.
A Grey 2005 Chevrolet Silverado was reported stolen from the 800 block of 106th Street.The vehicle was later recovered in Saskatoon by the Saskatoon Police Service.
A pellet gun was reported stolen from a residence on Gagne Avenue some time Oct. 25. The suspect has been identified and investigation is ongoing.
Charges are currently pending of theft under $5,000 on a 78-year-old male suspect after a shoplifting incident reported at a business on Railway Avenue East.
Police attended to a two-vehicle collision on 101st Street and 12th Avenue.At least two persons were treated for minor injuries and both vehicles had to be towed from scene. A 31-year-old male passenger was arrested and charged with failing to comply with an undertaking for reasons unrelated to the collision.The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
Report of a stolen iPhone from a business on Carlton Trail some time in early evening of Oct. 26.
Over the noted time period, North Battleford RCMP also made13 arrests relating to Alcohol offences. Other investigations includedone report ofa missing person whohas since been located,three false or nuisance 911 calls,six reports relating to minor disturbances, 14reports relating to minor traffic infractions, five false alarms, six child welfare investigations and three municipal bylaw complaints.
