Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 100 calls for service between 6 a.m. Sunday, May 3 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 5.
Sunday
• Report of a vehicle windshield damaged while parked on the 1300 block of 105th Street sometime overnight.
• Report of several windows damaged at the Mosquito First Nation School sometime between midnight April 30 and 9 a.m. May 3.
• Members called to a residence on the 400 block of 29th Street in Battleford at 10:50 a.m. for a report of an assault. Upon arrival perpetrator was already gone from scene. Victim sustained minor injuries. A 37-year-old man was located and arrested later this same date and has been released on several conditions pending his first appearance in court in early June. He is facing one count of assault.
• Theft of gasoline reported at 2 p.m. from a business on Railway Avenue East, perpetrator driving a red Dodge Durango.
• Police called to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Territorial Drive North and 100th Street at 3:11 p.m. Minor injuries were reported to driver of one of the vehicles involved. There was some traffic disruption for approximately 30 minutes while the scene was processed and cleared. Charges are currently pending against one of the drivers under the Traffic Safety Act for making an unsafe left turn.
• Report of a window of a residence damaged by an apparent BB gun shortly after 7 p.m. on 15th Street in Battleford.
Monday
• Two reports of vehicle damage sometime over previous evening made shortly before 9 a.m. Two vehicles on the 800 block of 108th Street had a tire slashed. A third and fourth vehicles parked on 103rd Street were later reported to have had windows damaged overnight as well.
• A vehicle parked on 9000 block of 16th Avenue reported to have had someone go through it sometime overnight. No damage or items missing.
• A 19-year-old man arrested shortly before 8 p.m. on the 1900 block of 104th Street after complaint of an intoxicated man causing a scene. Charged with breach of an undertaking.
Tuesday
• Complaint received at 12:41 a.m. of two men hitchhiking on Highway 16 in the Delmas area and jumping in front of vehicles. Both were located a short time later and arrested. A 21-year-old man is facing one count of breach of probation and an 18-year-old man is facing two counts of failing to comply with and undertaking.
• A 15-year-old female youth is facing one count of assault with a weapon after an altercation at a residence on Diefenbaker Drive. The youth attended hospital shortly after 1:30 a.m. and reported she had stabbed someone at a residence. The adult female victim was located a short time later and transported to hospital for treatment of injuries to her chest, neck and face. She has since been released from hospital. The accused remains in custody and will make her first appearance in North Battleford Provincial Court Wednesday. The accused and victim are known to each other. Alcohol appears to also have been a factor in this incident.
• Three vehicles damaged in the area of 8th Avenue and 107th Street shortly before 3 a.m.
There were five arrests for alcohol related offences, 18 disturbance complaints responded to, 17 traffic investigations, two false 911 calls, eight Child Welfare Act investigations, one bylaw complaint, two minor collisions, five alarms responded to and one Mental Health Act investigation.
