No foul play suspected in Pelican Narrows death

Through a joint investigation between the Saskatchewan RCMP and Saskatchewan Coroners Service, pending final results of the autopsy and toxicology, preliminary indication is that no foul play is suspected in relation to the death of a man on Mirond Lake.

The deceased has been identified as a 25-year-old male from Pelican Narrows. His family has been notified.

On July 6, around 2 p.m,. Pelican Narrows RCMP received a complaint of a deceased individual located on Mirond Lake near the bridge entering Pelican Narrows. A police officer was taken to where the individual was located by a member of the public while other officers boarded the RCMP boat and removed the person from the lake.

Pelican Narrows RCMP, in partnership with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, has been investigating.
