Oilfield equipment stolen from Winter area

Sometime between Nov. 5 and Nov. 11, a high value piece of oilfield equipment known as a blow-out preventer was stolen from a Cona Resources well site in Winter. The equipment belongs to Cru Well Servicing and is valued at over $45,000.

Sometime between Nov. 5 and Nov. 11, a high value piece of oilfield equipment known as a blow-out preventer was stolen from a Cona Resources well site in Winter. The equipment belongs to Cru Well Servicing and is valued at over $45,000. The equipment is very heavy and large and would have required the use of a trailer and picker truck to remove it from the site. There are no suspects at this time and the Unity RCMP are seeking assistance in identifying a suspect. Please see the photos of the equipment.
