Between 6 a.m. Wednesday, March 25 and 6 a.m. Thursday, March 26, Battlefords RCMP responded to 34 calls for service including:
Wednesday
- Report of several vehicles damaged overnight. Four separate incidents on 91st Street and one reported on 101st Street from some time over previous night. Some vehicles also reported items stolen from inside.
- A vehicle struck a pedestrian on Territorial Drive North near 100th Street intersection at approximately 6:40 a.m. Pedestrian suffered a broken wrist and was treated at hospital. Charges under the Traffic Safety Act are pending against the driver of the involved vehicle.
- Report of a fight in progress at a business on the 1700 block of 100th Street at 1217 p.m. Two women having an argument started physically fighting before both left in separate vehicles. Both have since been identified and the investigation into the incident is still ongoing. One of the subjects did sustain some minor injuries and was treated in hospital.
- Report of a theft of tools from a vehicle parked at the Dog Park off Airport Road at 12:20 p.m.
- Two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 104th Street and 15th Avenue. Driver of one vehicle taken to hospital with minor injuries. Investigation into collision still underway.
- Shoplifting complaint from a business on the 1100 block of 100th Street at 352 p.m. Suspect reported to have taken some food items. Possible suspect identified.
Thursday
- A 22-year-old woman facing one count of failing to comply with probation after failing to be at approved residence for a curfew check at approximately 12:30 a.m.
- Call received at 3:50 a.m. of an assault at a residence on Ross Crescent. Complainant advised they were hanging out with someone but wouldn't or couldn't say who. Person was alleged to have some into home and assaulted complainant before leaving. No injuries reported.
