On July 10, 2017, at about 11:20 p.m., Battlefords RCMP stopped a white Ford F350 in the city after it went through a controlled intersection without stopping.
The truck stopped for police, then backed into the front end of a police truck. The driver took off and the RCMP pursued.
Police followed the truck west of town. Attempts to use tire deflating devices were unsuccessful. The truck was found stuck in a ditch north of Highway 40.
Four people who were in the truck fled the scene. Police dogs helped police in apprehending two of the suspects, while the other two suspects remain at-large as of Thursday afternoon.
The truck had been stolen earlier that day and keys had been left in the vehicle.
