Battlefords RCMP responded to 41 calls between 6 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7 and 6 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 8.
Members arrested three persons for alcohol offences, and other matters included two nuisance 911 calls, two false alarms, six minor disturbances, five Mental Health Act complaints, five traffic investigation, three minor collisions, and one lost item reported. There was one youth reported missing, and she was located.
Saturday
• A vehicle on the 1500 block of 107 Street was gone through overnight and personal items were stolen from it.
• At 7:45 a.m. there was a call made to 911 from a cellphone and male and female voices heard yelling in the background before the call disconnected. The 33-year-old man who owned the cellphone spoke with the RCMP over the phone and lied about his current location and about the events that had transpired that morning. He was arrested a short time later and charged with obstruction and for failing to comply with the condition on his probation order to abstain from alcohol and was released for court March 16. The woman was located and there were no injuries.
• There was a report at 8:55 a.m. of graffiti on a fence on Clark Drive.
• A 22-year-old man was arrested at a residence on 107th Street at 10:38 a.m. for breaching the no-alcohol conditions on his probation order. He was released and is scheduled to appear in court on March 9.
• There was a complaint at 12:59 p.m. that someone was shot with a paint ball gun on Mosquito First Nation. The matter is still under investigation.
• Police were called to assist in removing an intoxicated man from a residence, as he was refusing to leave on his own. A 27-year-old man was arrested at the residence for failing to comply with the no-alcohol conditions on his probation order. He was released to appear in court on a later date.
• At 9:54 p.m., a complaint was called in regarding an intoxicated man at a residence that was threatening to kill everyone in the house. The 47-year-old man who was the subject of complaint was found in the driver's seat of a vehicle and was arrested for impaired care and control of a vehicle, refusing to provide a breath sample for analysis, and for uttering threats.
Sunday
• There was a complaint that two women were rummaging through vehicles parked on the 1900 block of 97 Street at 12:49 a.m.
• A 48-year-old man has been charged with breaking and entering after an alarm was reported at 1 a.m. at a business on the 1000 block of 101st Street. The man was released to appear in court March 30.
• A 26-year-old man was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle during a traffic stop at 1:52 a.m.
