Rocking continues at Tisdale Speedway's second race

The rocking in Tisdale moved from the square to the racetrack with round two of the season at the Tisdale Motor Speedway.

A total of 15 Cars came out to compete July 9 with teams travelling in from Shellbrook, Watrous, Outlook and Swift Current.

The afternoon started off with the Dash for Cash Races, sponsored by TJ’s Pizza, with Jennifer Atkings taking the win in the Hobby Stock Class. Ashley Ashdown defended off all the Randells in the Street Stock to claim his prize.

In the first Heat Races of the afternoon, Ken Wicks, #24, from Nipawin kept his winning tradition going by taking top spot, followed by Jennifer Atkings, #44, and Austin Ashdown, #99, in third place.

The Street Stock Division saw Ryan Atkings, #44, taking the checkered flag, with Trevor Monk, #88, in second, and Dustin Randell, #8, in third place.

The second Heat Races were filled with caution flags. There were cars damaging into one another, spinning out, and flying off the banked turns. When the dust settled, It was Hobby Stock driver Ken Wicks taking the win, with Austin Ashdown in second, and Jennifer Atkings in third for the Hobby Stock. Glenn Randell picked up the Win, with Ryan Atkings coming home second, and Casey Randell in the #07 for third in the Street Stock Division.

Feature Races in the Hobby Stock saw once again in dominating fashion the #24 taking his third checkered flag of the afternoon, Jennifer Atkings’ #44 taking second, and Austin Ashdown’s #99 third. Street Stock Feature Race saw a lot of fender rubbing, and chrome horns being used to compete in the 20 lap event. It was Ryan Atkings’ #44 that brought home the checkered flag, Trevor Monk’s #88 in second, and Dustin Randell’s #8 taking third.
