The North Battleford Fire Department responded to a fire at Frontier Mall early Wednesday morning.
At approximately 5:30 a.m., the NBFD arrived at Frontier Mall to see a fire had started on the roof above Easyhome and Bootlegger. Flames were visible upon arrival.
Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire. Some water damage occurred in the two businesses below, with minor damage to the roof. The rest of the mall's hallways were cleared of smoke.
The NBFD says the cause of the fire was from contractors retarring the roof.
