Battlefords RCMP responded to 30 calls for service from 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 5 to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, including the following:

Sept. 5

8:03 a.m. - Complaint of stolen vehicle on the Saulteaux First Nation, complainant advising he had left his keys in the vehicle after it experienced mechanical problems and he left it in the ditch, discovering it gone on his return.

8:22 a.m. - Complaint of theft from vehicles on Martin Crescent overnight.

9:42 a.m. - Report of a horse on Highway 16 west of the Battlefords, recovered by the owner.

10:06 a.m. - Complaint of domestic dispute that ended in a forcible entry into a residence where one of the parties sought assistance. A 33-year-old North Battleford man was arrested and charges are pending.

10:20 a.m. - Complaint of a person climbing over fence into compound of a local North Battleford business, investigation ongoing.

10:51 a.m. - Complaint of persons who are banned from a North Battleford business being on the premises, investigation revealed that they had not actually entered the business, but were hanging about the immediate area and were cautioned about entering the business.

1:26 p.m. - Complaint of ongoing threats about child custody from spouse who is also allegedly physically abusive, investigation ongoing. 

2:42 p.m. - Complaint of persons threatening to post compromising photograph of complainant on social media, investigation ongoing.

2:51 p.m. - Members conducting vehicle stop found driver to be impaired by drugs and passenger in possession of suspected cocaine and marijuana. Charges pending against the 19-year-old female driver and 18-year-old male passenger.

4:31 p.m. - Complaint of shoplifting theft from local business, loss prevention officers apprehending the suspects and holding them for police.

4:32 p.m. - Complaint of cell phone being stolen and culprits posting compromising pictures of the owner being kept on the phone onto their social media page, investigation ongoing.

4:35 p.m. - Complaint of child welfare concerns from grandmother of child in question. Welfare concerns do not involve immediate peril, there for matter being referred to Child and Family Services.

6:06 p.m. - Anonymous complaint of drug trafficking to youth, investigation ongoing.

6:26 p.m. - Complaint of child welfare / neglect, Child and Family Services advised.

7:27 p.m. - Complaint of threats left in mailbox, unknown suspects, investigation ongoing.

7:41 p.m. - Complaint of harassment from co- worker, investigation ongoing.

8:39 p.m. - Complaint of break and enter into residence on the Sweetgrass First Nation, complainant caught 12-year-old and nine-year-old suspects in the act, charges pending against 12-year-old, Child and Family Services to follow up with the nine-year-old and both families involved.

9:48 p.m. - Report of missing 13-year-old child, complainant advised they believed they knew where the 13-year-old was, but the residents there were not cooperative when they attended the residence. Police attended and 13-year-old located at the residence in question, returned home and the residents where located warned about harbouring runaway children.

10:10 p.m. - Complaint of assault on the Moosomin First Nation, investigation determined no clear assault took place.

Sept. 6

4:44 a.m. - Report of suspicious person near a North Battleford business, subject located and no criminal acts being committed, just out for a walk.

Police also responded to one minor disturbance report and five traffic investigations.
