Suspects violate no contact orders

Between 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 31 and 6 a.m. Friday, April 3, Battlefords RCMP responded to over 150 calls for service over the noted period, including:
Tuesday

- Report made that some between March 29 and March 31, a men's grey bike was stolen from a yard on the 300 block of 28th Street.
- Report at 7:17 a.m. of a garage on 1800 block of 99th Street spray painted sometime over the previous evening.
- A 34-year-old man was arrested at 1:44 p.m. and is facing charges of care and control while impaired, care and control while over .08, and several provincial traffic offences after a vehicle check on Heritage Way. He has since been released from custody and will make his first appearance in provincial court April 27.
- A vehicle check near Battleford at 5:30 p.m. has resulted in a 40-year-old man arrested and charged with care and control of a vehicle while impaired and care and control of a vehicle while over .08.
-Police are investigating an assault which is believed to have occurred downtown. Victim attended the detachment at 5:54 p.m. suffering facial injuries, but was too intoxicated at the time to provide details and was taken to hospital for treatment. The matter remains under investigation.
- Report of an assault at a residence on the 700 block of 100th Street. Victim and suspect are known to each other. The suspect was already gone upon police arrival. Charges of assault are currently pending against a 25-year-old man.
- Charges are pending against a 23-year-old man for violation of a probation curfew, not home for check at 11:30 p.m.
Wednesday

- Report of a male violating a no contact order made at 8:22 a.m. Charges of failing to comply with an undertaking currently pending against a 39-year-old suspect.
- A 29-year-old man is facing one count of failing to comply with a probation order, after a residence check at 9:17 a.m. at a residence on 31st Street in Battleford. Subject found to not be at approved residence.
- At 2:03 p.m. a complaint was received of a vehicle parked on Winder Crescent having been keyed sometime over the previous 24 hours.
- Call of a possible assault in progress made at 5:29 p.m. at a residence on St. Laurent Drive. A 28-year-old man was located hiding in a closet, was arrested for violating a no contact order and is facing two counts of breach of probation.
- At 5:39 p.m. a 19-year-old male, in custody on youth matters, reported to have escaped lawful custody while receiving medical attention. Subject remains at large and under warrant status.
- A 19-year-old man was arrested and is facing charges of assault causing bodily harm and causing a disturbance after a report of an assault on Railway Avenue East shortly after 9 p.m.  The man was reported to have assaulted an elderly women by several witnesses who subdued him until police arrival. Alcohol appears to have been a factor during the incident. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The accused has since been released from custody on several conditions and is scheduled to appear next in North Battleford court on April 20.
- At 9:50 p.m., police received a call of an assault in progress, with the complainant reporting confronting several youth outside his home on the 1500 block of 104th Street. One youth was reported to have been carrying a knife. Suspects were reported to have fled scene in a four door car. No one was injured during incident. The matter remains under investigation.
Thurday

- Police called to a residence on 114th Street at 1:44 a.m. on a report of a disturbance. A 19-year-old male was located intoxicated and arrested and charged with two counts of breach of probation.
- Police and firefighters responded to a structure fire reported on 114th Street at 4:15 a.m. The fire was contained to one home. No one was in the residence at the time of incident. The matter remains under investigation.
- Call made at 8:07 a.m. to police reporting a disturbance at an apartment on Panton Avenue, several persons reported to be fighting. A 25-year-old man, a 24-year-old woman and a 22-year-old woman were arrested at the scene, all intoxicated. The 22-year-old female has been charged with breach of probation. The matter remains under investigation.
- Complaint received at 12:20 p.m., reporting the windshield of a vehicle was damaged while parked on Railway Avenue East between 7:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. on April 1.  Damaged vehicle is a Blue 2014 Dodge Avenger.
- Police called to a reported disturbance at a youth facility at 3:13 p.m.  A 17-year- old youth is facing charges of mischief under $5,000 after allegedly throwing a radio through a window.
- Report of an erratic driver at 6:49 p.m. in the area of 12th Avenue. A 40-year-old man was located, very intoxicated, on 12th Avenue and 102nd Street and arrested. Due to his extreme levels of intoxicated the subject was taken to hospital for treatment. The investigation is ongoing and charges are still pending.
- At 9:07 p.m. report of unknown youths throwing rocks at vehicles on Territorial Drive and damaging at least one windshield.
- A 34-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving and driving while over .08 after a vehicle stop on Highway 4 north of North Battleford at 9:35 p.m.
Friday
- Call at 12:13 a.m. of a intoxicated male causing a disturbance on 107th Street. A 16-year-old youth was located, very intoxicated, and arrested. Facing two counts of failing to comply with probation.
Police also arrested 33 persons for alcohol related offences, investigated 14 traffic matters, 11 bylaw complaints, 27 disturbance calls, six Mental Health Act complaints, six persons reported missing who were located during the noted time period, four collisions, two false or nuisance 911 calls, six child welfare investigations and one alarm.
