CARROT RIVER – Three people are running for fill the empty spot on Carrot River council.
The three running for council are Dylan Borody, Scott Debienne and Joe Doerksen.
Town council election is on Oct. 23 with advanced polling on Oct. 17.
During council they passed a motion to allow for homebound voting.
“Homebound voting is actually very simple,” said Kevin Trew, town administrator. “It requires a letter, a written application to the returning officer prior to the advanced poll date. Then the returning officer looks at that to see if they are indeed homebound, and then the returning officer would go to their home and take their vote.”
The votes will be counted at the same time as the other votes and will be worth the same amount.
