Shellbrook RCMP have released the names of two individuals who died in a fire on Ahtahkakoop First Nation Monday morning. The families of the deceased have consented to the release of their names. They have asked that their privacy please be respected during this difficult time.
61-year-old Donna Kay and 10-year-old Teegan Ahenakew, both from Ahtahkakoop First Nation, were located deceased at the site of the house fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and is not believed to be suspicious.
