Two-vehicle collision on Highway 16 Saturday night

Less than 100 calls for service were made to the North Battleford RCMP over the three-day period between 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12 and 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15.

Less than 100 calls for service were made to the North Battleford RCMP over the three-day period between 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12 and 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 15.


Included in those calls were 21 municipal bylaw or disturbance complaints, two fraud investigations, six child welfare or family relations investigations, 11 traffic complaints or minor collisions, three false alarms and four false or nuisance 911 calls.


Friday


9:58 a.m. - Theft of gasoline from a business on Highway 16. Suspect vehicle described as a burgundy Dodge truck with an Alberta licence plate.


1:18 p.m. - Complaint of continual unwanted contact by a man towards complainant. Matter stems from a previous relationship. Complaint includes suspect being unlawfully in the home of the complainant. A 43-year-old man was located and arrested. He is charged with break and enter to a dwelling, being unlawfully in a dwelling, obstruction, criminal harassment and three counts of breach of probation. He was remanded into custody and made his first appearance in provincial court Monday morning.


1:51 p.m. - 37-year-old woman facing charges of failing to comply with probation.


3:58 p.m. - 31-year-old woman charged with theft under $5,000 in connection which a shoplifting complaint from a business on Territorial Drive North.


6:15 p.m. - 25-year-old man arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm and uttering threats after a complaint on Trudeau Street of an intoxicated man causing problems. Victim sustained a bloody and possibly broken nose during altercation. Accused remanded into custody and made his first appearance Monday morning.


Saturday


12:26 a.m. - Complaint of a loud party on 1500 block of 104th Street with one witness reporting hearing what sounded like two gun shots. Further information indicated a possibly suicidal male in area. One witness did see a man in the area who was not carrying any firearm at the time going through yards. Several witnesses in the area reported hearing what sounded like gun shots. To date, no damaged property has been located or reported and no one was injured. No suspects were located in the area of the alleged fired shots. Investigation is ongoing. 


4:05 a.m. - Call of a suspicious man on Laurier Crescent who appears to be looking into windows and may have also removed a bike from a yard. Suspect not located but a mountain bike was found abandoned in area and seized. Owner not yet located.


4:48 a.m. - Report of a man causing problems at a residence on Winder Crescent. 27-year-old man located, very intoxicated, arrested for mischief and held in custody until sober.


12:13 p.m. - Report of a vehicle broken into on Bunce Crescent while parked overnight. Personal items reported missing.


1:47 p.m. - 53-year-old woman arrested for public intoxication, located sleeping in a back alley of 13th Avenue.


3:24 p.m. - Report of people arguing and fighting on 101st Street. 25-year-old man was arrested for causing a disturbance and found to be very intoxicated. Three other individuals told to leave area and complied.


4:09 p.m. - Call of a hit and run at a restaurant drive-thru on Railway Avenue East. Suspect later located and is facing one count of failing to remain at the scene of a collision.


5:40 p.m. - 32-year-old woman arrested for causing a disturbance after a report of an intoxicated person causing a scene on 100th Street.


8:05 p.m. - Two-vehicle injury collision on Highway 16 on east edge of city. Driver of one of the vehicles fled scene on foot, but has been identified and charges are pending. Five persons were injured in the collision, none believed to be serious. All injured parties were transported to hospital via ambulance for treatment. Both vehicles sustained significant damage and were towed from scene. Investigation is ongoing.


8:24 p.m. - 911 call to a residence on 102nd Street. Report that complainant was threatened with being punched in the face for not returning a borrowed country music CD. Parties separated for the evening.


Sunday


2:23 a.m. - 37-year-old man arrested and charged with one count of breach of probation after report on intoxicated man at a residence on 101st Street refusing to leave.


3:40 a.m. - 16-year-old man arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose after located by members in possession of bear spray. Also charged with two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking. A 19-year-old man in his company was also arrested and is charged with obstruction and breach of probation. Both remanded into custody until first appearance in court Monday morning.


7:23 a.m. - Call of a disturbance/fight at a residence on 100th Street. A man was arrested on scene for assault and mischief. A woman was also arrested for outstanding warrants. Matter remains under investigation.


9:06 a.m. - Report of a vehicle parked on 1500 block of 101st Street scratched some time between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m.


1:44 p.m. - Call of an assault outside a residence on Mackenzie King Crescent. Suspect witnessed driving away after getting into a physical altercation with another individual. Suspect not yet located. Matter still under investigation.


2:06 p.m. - 40-year-old man arrested for public intoxication, found heavily intoxicated and wandering into traffic on Territorial Drive.


3:42 p.m. - Report of an assault on 112th Street. All parties known to each other and matter appears to stem from a previous disagreement. Investigation still ongoing.


5:59 p.m. - Report of shoplifting at a business on Carlton Trail. 49-year-old man arrested and facing one count of theft under $5,000. A 45-year-old man, 41-year-old woman and 54-year-old woman in his company were also arrested for public intoxication and held in custody until sober.


10:02 p.m. - Rock thrown through a window to a building on 107th Street.


11:58 p.m. - 31-year-old man arrested and charged with breach of probation, located very intoxicated and yelling on 101st Street.


Monday


12:29 a.m. - 46-year-old man arrested for public intoxication on 100th Street.
