Woman accused of smashing P.A. Police's glass door appears in court

A woman is facing charges in connection with damage to the Prince Albert Police Service’s community substation earlier this week

PRINCE ALBERT - A 25-year-old woman appeared in Prince Albert court Thursday facing charges in connection with damage to the front glass window at the Prince Albert Police Service’s community substation earlier this week.

On Tuesday, July 12 at approximately 4:30 p.m., the front glass door to the community substation, located at 40-10th Street East, was smashed. The suspect attempted to flee but was apprehended by police following a short foot pursuit.

Upon further investigation, police located a large sickle and an Exacto knife.

The accused, from Prince Albert, is charged with two counts of possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of a concealed weapon, and mischief in connection with this incident.

Damage to replace the window is estimated at approximately $1,140.
