Young offenders from Drumming Hill at large

Between 6 a.m. Feb. 4 and 6 a.m. Feb. 5, Battlefords RCMP responded to about 36 calls for service, which included the following:


Wednesday


- Complaint made of a break and enter to a cabin property on Noland Drive in the village of Cochin. Entry gained by breaking locked door and flat screen television stolen, investigation ongoing.

- A report made of an assault by a young offender in custody at the North Battleford Youth Centre on a staff member, investigation ongoing.

- A report of a missing 15-year-old girl was received, after she had failed to return home and did not attend school. Investigation located the missing youth, who was safe, and revealed she had been with friends, never having left North Battleford, but not advising her family where she was.

- Two vehicle collision at intersection of 100th Street and 15th Avenue with no injuries to any persons. One vehicle had to be towed from the scene due to significant damage. One driver charged with failing to obey a red light.

- Complaint of theft of cell phone and damage to property at residence on Red Pheasant First Nation, investigation ongoing.

- Report of three young offenders running away from the Drumming Hill Youth Centre, an open custody youth detention centre located on the Saskatchewan Hospital grounds. Police attended, including police service dog services, however the young offenders were not located. The three young offenders remain unlawfully at large and warrants for their arrest are being sought.

-  Report of teenagers drinking in back alley of 104th Street in North Battleford. On police arrival youth ran from scene. Alcohol left at the scene was dumped out by police.

Thursday

- Three reports of persons attempting to gain access to vehicles on 102nd Street in North Battleford. The suspects were unknown and patrols were made by police.
During the above time period, police also responded to two alarms, six disturbance complaints, one child welfare investigation, 10 traffic investigations and two false 911 calls.
