Youth arrested after cabin break-ins

One 17-year-old youth has been arrested and charged with theft after a number of complaints to RCMP in the early morning of Sept. 28 about break-ins to several cabins in the Cochin area.

One 17-year-old youth has been arrested and charged with theft after a number of complaints to RCMP in the early morning of Sept. 28 about break-ins to several cabins in the Cochin area.

The youth is facing charges of theft and failing to stop for a police officer. RCMP say several other suspects have been identified and are being sought.

Three motorized golf carts were reported stolen at the time, and police say all have been recovered and returned to their owners.

The RCMP cabin owners to take steps to ensure the safety of seasonal property, and are urging people to remove items from seasonal dwellings if at all possible. this has been a historic issue in the Cochin area, and the police encourage people to take precautions in order to minimize potential loss of property.
