The COVID-19 pandemic isn’t stopping the Empty Stocking Fund, and isn’t stopping the need for Christmas hampers. The Battlefords Empty Stocking Fund is taking applications starting this week at the Food Bank, 1171 101st St, North Battleford.

The newly-elected mayor of North Battleford and the new council will be sworn in this evening at a ceremonial first council meeting.

On Sunday, Nov. 15, at approximately 9:30 a.m., White Butte RCMP responded to the report of a single vehicle submerged in a creek off a gravel road approximately four kilometres west of Grand Coulee.

If you see smoke in the vicinity of the Waste Management Facility in the next few days there is no cause for alarm. The city has issued a news release stating they have begun a controlled burn of the clean woodpile at the facility starting today.
