Big shakeup for natural gas processing business in Saskatchewan

A 69-year-old Saskatoon man is facing charges of criminal breach of trust, fraud over $5,000 and laundering proceeds of crime following a joint investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service and the Saskatoon RCMP.

RCMP have said in a release Matthew Shaundel Michel was arrested Thursday afternoon at the Sunset Estates, east of Saskatoon. Michel travelled in a stolen vehicle from the Warman area to the Humboldt area.

Police tried to stop an inmate who escaped from the federal Regional Psychiatric Centre in Saskatoon on the highway near Humboldt on Nov. 14. Two men, Matthew Michel, 24, and Kendal Campeau, 29, fled the centre during the night of Nov. 13.

The City of North Battleford has agreed to sell land on 741-110th Street to Lesmeister Construction for developing a proposed parking lot.

Submitted Battlefords and District Community Foundation and RBC Foundation are providing grants to two area projects that will be led by youth. The Dekker Centre Young People’s Theatre Ensemble will receive $15,000.

North Battleford city council got a quarterly update Tuesday night about the massive sanitary sewer trunk main project happening in North Battleford. Council heard from J.P. Mills of consulting firm KGS Group, managers of the $13.

North Battleford city council has officially adopted the Parking Study as presented. That was the study conducted by Crosby Hanna & Associates and presented to Planning Committee on Sept. 18.

Herb Sutton was at Tuesday’s North Battleford city council meeting with his monthly report, and in that presentation voiced support for the recently-signed Sacichawasich Relationship Agreement.
