UPDATE; 9;20 a.m. - Battlefords RCMP remain at the scene of a two vehicle collision 15 miles west of Battleford on Hwy 29. WPD Ambulance have transported one male and one female to Battlefords Union Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Forty minutes from the finish line of a convoy that, for him, started in Carnduff, Ken Mehler of Estevan was almost at a loss for works when describing the response the convoy experienced in northern Ontario.

The News-Optimist requested and has received a comment from the media relations department of Canada Post regarding the Saturday break-in of the post office building in Battleford.

Battlefords RCMP have been able to offer some additional information on the break-in to the Battleford Post Office, however they are holding some information back for investigatory reasons. Sunday morning, RCMP provided further clarification.
