Paving efforts in the city are wrapping up, while the city’s 2018 capital and maintenance projects are on track to completion this construction season as long as the weather holds.

The City of North Battleford in on board with a $2,500 contribution towards the 25th anniversary of the Battlefords Business Excellence Awards happening Oct. 2. However, the decision could not have been any closer.

A contractor has been selected to redesign the intersection at 5th Avenue and Main Street. The east and west ends of the intersection are not properly aligned, meaning motorists have to turn down Main Street before continuing down 5th Avenue.

All workers at the Nutrien Lanigan potash mine are safe after an underground fire in the facility. The fire began Sept. 25 at approximately 1 pm. Emergency crews extinguished the fire right away.
