Two communities got together to remember the victims and survivors of residential schools. Both the Melfort and Nipawin branches of Cumberland College observed Orange Shirt Day with a large community round dance Sept. 29.

A new Treasury Board Crown corporation has been created to manage the province’s 911 emergency dispatching services. It was announced Thursday in Prince Albert the launch of the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency, which will be based in that city.

The individual charged in connection to the deaths of three people in a Highway 16 accident near Lloydminster Sept. 22 remains in custody with his next court appearance set for Oct. 11 at 11 a.m.

Battlefords RCMP are reporting details of a motor vehicle collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle on 100th Street. According to police, the incident took place at around 3:55pm on Sept. 30.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Saskatchewan say they will be vigilant in the wake of a suspected terror attack in Edmonton on Saturday night. The incident took place in the vicinity of Commonwealth Stadium.
