With the presenting of an Anne of Green Gables doll more than 40 years ago by Battlefords Allied Arts Council members Dorothy Boyd and Connie Tubb to librarians Joan Bunce and Sonia Curry, the North Battleford doll collection began.

There will be Rolling Partial Street Closures Wednesday. They will start at Douglas Avenue and proceed to Scott Drive with the possibility of moving on to 99 th Street in Riverview. The closures will be from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M.

A local project to help those in need was unveiled in Central Park next to 102nd Street on Wednesday.

A group of Melfort citizens is concerned about the cost to build a new skate park at Spruce Haven. Gerry Reeder came to the May 15 council with a petition of 631 signatures that was collected over a period of eight days.

There was only one bull rider that managed to stay on the back of two bulls at the PBR competition in Nipawin. Jared Parsonage of Maple Creek scored 84 points in the first round and 87.

The Western Development Museum’s Heritage Farm and Village opened for the summer season May 1.
