The City of North Battleford has joined together with Battlefords Agency Tribal Chiefs to form what is called the First Nations Municipal Community Economic Development Initiative (Cando).

Following the year-end board meeting of the Wounded Warriors Weekend Foundation, the board reports Wounded Warriors Weekend 2016, held in Nipawin July 29 to Aug. 1 hosted more than 200 wounded warriors.

Two recent search warrant executions by Battlefords RCMP have resulted in drug and firearms charges. Several women were arrested Monday after a single-family residence on the 1300 block of 97th Street was searched at about 11:30 p.m.
