The City of North Battleford is conducting a planned burn of the clean wood pile today at its waste management facility. Although there will be some smoke from this burn, there is no danger whatsoever to people or property.

A fire in an apartment building at 1191 – 99th St. forced the evacuation of one floor of residents at about 1:20 p.m. Thursday. According to the North Battleford Fire Department the fire started in a trash can and spread to a nearby sofa.

A third man has been charged after a home invasion on Saulteaux First Nation Monday that left two men seriously injured. Troy Ryan Delorme, 23, is also facing charges. Battlefords RCMP reported his arrest Wednesday afternoon.
