Smoke, but no danger
Smoke from a wood-burning appliance raised the alarm at 1551 – 99th St. at about 4 p.m. Monday. North Battleford Fire Department responded with one vehicle and three firefighters, but determined the source of the smoke was not a threat.

Extensive damage to group home
A preliminary investigation is under way into a fire at a group home at 1352 - 97th St. According to North Battleford Fire, it was a structure fire with major damage to the interior. The incident took place around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night.
