The City of North Battleford’s Parks and Recreation Culture and Heritage Committee held its final meeting Monday, Dec. 15 at the Don Ross Centre, sort of. It was truly a case of the committee going out with a whimper instead of a bang.

Building permits in the city of North Battleford have now officially topped $55 million for the year.

The year-to-year November numbers for Battlefords RCMP Detachment showed little change last month from a year earlier. The numbers for November were presented to the City’s Planning Committee Monday as part of the monthly report from Insp.

North Battleford RCMP responded to 28 calls for service between 6 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16. Over that time period, RCMP also made four arrests relating to alcohol offences.

North Battleford Fire Department personnel assisted at the scene of a crash Monday at about 11:30 p.m. when a vehicle collided with a light standard on 101st Street and 12th Avenue. According to NBFD, one person was treated and released by EMS.
