The new name of the newly-merged Curling club in the Battlefords is the Twin Rivers Curling Club. That was the name selected following the name-the-club contest that took place this year.

An 18-year-old man is dead following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 3 on the east side of Turtle Lake near Turtleford Friday morning.

Two young offenders have been charged in the armed robbery of a cab driver in North Battleford Aug. 8. Both will appear at North Battleford Provincial Court in September. The cab driver was robbed at about 2:30 a.m.
