North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services responded to two simultaneous fire instances on Saturday night. The calls came in around 11pm that night. One call reported smoke coming from a bathroom in the Legion Hall on 100th Street.

Unity RCMP are seeking help in respect to a mischief involving two front end loaders as well as theft from a farmyard which occurredsoutheast of Scott, SK overnight on Friday, August 12th, 2011.

Now, it's all up to the judges. The two judges evaluating North Battleford's entry in the Communities in Bloom competition were in the city Monday as they sized up the local efforts towards beautifying the community.

North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services responded to four separate incidents Thursday. The first incident happened around 2:15 p.m. when they responded to a report of a tree on fire on the 1400 block of 101st Street.

Emergency crews responded Wednesday to a two-vehicle collision that had resulted in a car rolled over on its side in the middle of the street.

RCMP have now located the abandoned vehicle belonging to Carol King of Herschel Saskatchewan. The 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser, grey in colour, with Saskatchewan licence plate 560-GZX belonging to King was recovered around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday evening.

The Galleries of North Battleford are proud to be hosting Armin Kluge, of Aurora, Ont. Kluge is a 70-year-old activist currently cycling across Canada from Vancouver to Halifax in an effort to raise money for a school he helped build in Cambodia.
