You may have noticed your local politicians might seem a little distracted these days during council meetings.

Between May 25 and 26, several vehicles were vandalized on the 1900 blocks of 101st and 102nd Streets in North Battleford. During the evening hours of May 24, a business on Thatcher Ave was broken into and tools were stolen.

Town council notes for June 6

It was a fairly routine night of business for the Battleford town council Monday night, with one bylaw passed at the meeting. A bylaw amending the Urban Fix Cost Custom Work Agreement of the Urban Highway Connector Program adopted.

Shotgun used in vandalism

A shotgun is believed to have been used to vandalize an RM of Britannia grader sometime between June 4 and 5. Maidstone RCMP say it appears one of the windows of the grader was shot at the machine parked along the north side of TWP road 504.

The Edam West 4-H Club held their annual achievement day June 3 in the Edam Community Centre. Club president Brandi Kobes led the members into the ring for introductions and to start the proceedings with the 4-H pledge.

Injuries in underpass crash

Two motor vehicle accidents and one house alarm activation were responded to by North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services June 4. The first motor vehicle accident happened just after 11 a.m.

Child struck by vehicle

A child appears to be uninjured following a motor vehicle collision Tuesday evening. The incident took place at the intersection of 107th Street and 15th Avenue around 8:40 p.m.
