Two weeks of policing reports by Unity RCMP Detachment cover the weeks of Jan. 10-16 and Jan. 17-23.

Education director Lorel Trumier said the graduation numbers were one of the annual report’s many highlights.

An unexpected expense arose for Unity's museum committee when a blower motor on the office fan needed replacing.

“There’s an inflationary pressure that everybody else is seeing across the country, so we've got to manage that,” said director of education Robert Bratvold.

The program would also be cost-neutral for the school division tailored to fit every school and community. 

BTEC, Ronald McDonald House and the Colby Cave Foundation were the recipients of a combined $22,941.24 from the PBR Committee.

“We weren’t putting too much pressure on ourselves. We just wanted to go out and play and make some shots and have some fun. We’re all experienced curlers and you can put that all together."

The Rise Up Foundation aims to empower women in rural northeast Saskatchewan to rise up and achieve balance in work and life through community workshops.

This was the first visit but it will become a weekly visit going forward.
