Responding to burgeoning public interest (courtesy of COVID-19), well-known Prairie naturalists Trevor Herriot and Myrna Pearman have produced Backyard Bird Feeding: A Saskatchewan Guide , just in time for spring .

Three people were arrested and $50,000 in drugs were seized following a traffic stop by Lloydminster RCMP General investigation Section and Crime Reduction Unit.

RM OF WILLOW CREEK — A grass fire which consumed 460,000 square metres of brush and field in the RM of Willow Creek is attributed to a vehicle heating up the grass causing it to ignite. Melfort Fire responded on April 29 at 2:40 p.m.

A man facing drug trafficking and weapons-related offences is seeking bail in Saskatoon Provincial Court. Rudi Betthel, 52, of Bjorkdale, had a show cause hearing on April 29 but the judge reserved his decision until May 7.

A man wanted by RCMP on violent offences was arrested and released on bail.
