Ontario University Athletics (OUA) will have a very Humboldt Broncos feel next season after Matthieu Gomercic announced his commitment to the University of Ontario Institute of Technology Ridgebacks.

Shane Simpson of Regina, a longtime member of the Regina Jets, will be inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame, Individual Category, as a Player/Builder on Saturday, Aug. 18 in Battleford. Simpson was born and raised in Regina.

The Humboldt Broncos continue to make changes to their roster as they prepare for the 2018-2019 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season.

Vs. Saskatoon Smokin’ Guns The Royals did not make things easy on themselves in their opening contest of the week, but did just enough to squeak out a 2-0 win over the Saskatoon Smokin’ Guns on July 9 in Saskatoon.

The Unity Cardinals were expected to compete at Beaver Lions Stadium Wednesday in a do or die game 3. A 15-run game was less expected. Game 3 of the first round of playoffs took place in North Battleford.
