If you can, for just a second, forget about the fact it was a loss. For the uninitiated, I'm referring to the Saskatchewan Roughriders' 39-36 thriller-of-an overtime loss at Edmonton Friday night against the Eskimos.

Local triathlete David Odishaw has provided an update on some of the activities of Battlefords-area triathletes so far this summer.

The Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame has announced the induction of the Lloyd family of the Lloyd District near Swift Current into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame, Family Category, Saturday, Aug. 20 at Battleford, Saskatchewan.

The SJHL has released its 2016-17 schedule and it’s now known where the Battlefords North Stars will start their season. It begins as usual, against Kindersley Klippers in a traditional home-and-home set beginning Friday, Sept.

With the regular season winding down, game action continues at a hot pace for teams in the North Saskatchewan River Baseball League. Action last Tuesday saw Lloydminster Twins beat the North Battleford Beavers 11-3 to drop the Beavers to 6-7.
