No sympathy for the easy lifestyle of retirees
Ed, my neighbour next door, has a fair-sized chunk of resentment towards retirees in general. I assume this will change, when he becomes one himself. This will happen several years down the road.

It's long been a conceit in Saskatchewan that most of our people still have ties to the farm, or at least rural Saskatchewan. That's one of the reasons why long weekends and holidays see so much traffic coming out of the cities.

Ten minutes at a time
I wasn't quite ready to leap out of bed when my alarm went off this morning. So I hit the snooze button. Ten more minutes ...??I hit it a few more times, each time relishing every moment of those 10 minutes. I enjoyed the gift of those extra minutes.

We would like to send a huge bouquet to SaskPower for replacing the pole between Cochin and Battlefords Provincial Park that was always home to a pair of Osprey. The pole was burned in a prairie fire and our power was out.

Dear Editor While it might be nice to have visitors to the Battlefords call in at the wildlife centre on Valley Road to view the exhibits, it is not an accessible or obvious place at which to stop, especially for RVers.

It was a small, un-momentous moment.?? Mom and I were sitting in the coffee shop at the bus depot one morning as we waited for her bus. One of the employees was washing the floor around us as we sipped our coffee. Mom commented on the clean floor.

Rookie learning the finer points of rock picking
