Dear Editor In preparation for next year's centennial of Third Avenue United Church, a church committee is looking for archival material, in particular early photographs of the church, ministers and church activities.

There are times when I look at my kids and hear my dad's voice ringing clear as a bell in my ear. That time is typically between 9:30 and 11:30 p.m. each night. "Go to bed.

Dear Editor When I started high school in 1945, the legal drinking age was 21. As a result, in our school, drinking wasn't the "thing to do" until we were about the age of 18.

Dear Editor Regarding the letter requesting balanced CUPlex Dekker Centre events coverage (News-Optimist Oct. 31), I recalled the name of the television show, The Facts of Life, upon reading this person's opinion piece.
