PRINCE ALBERT NATIONAL PARK — A wildfire emergency alert has been issued by Parks Canada for Prince Albert National Park. The public is being asked to avoid travel to the area.
Due to the Buhl wildfire that has potential to cause emergency situations for the public, including deteriorating air quality and or visibility due to wildfire smoke, residents and visitors to Prince Albert National Park are instructed to prepare and be ready to evacuate if required.
SaskAlert indicates the wildfire is currently 40 km from the townsite of Waskesiu, with a warning that if you are able to leave now, please do so.
