Almost $30,000 raised at Luseland MS Ride

Luseland's Flahr family were thrilled with the support for their version of the national MS Bike Ride that raised almost $30,000 by Team Flahr

LUSELAND - The wind did not deter riders who participated in a local MS Ride in Luseland Sept. 18.

A total of $29,754 was raised by this family team for this year’s event, thanks to support from family, friends and the community.

The profound effect on the Flahr family from Luseland spawned their involvement in this national awareness and fundraising campaign benefitting Multiple Sclerosis.

The community came out to support the team both in riders and cheerleaders. Additionally, a drive-through barbecue was hosted contributing $3,070.75 to the cause, sponsored and hosted by Luseland Credit Union, Delta Co-op and Luseland Family Foods. There was also entertainment outdoors for those waiting for the riders to return.

Group riders included  Gayla Hodgson, Trina Flahr, Sheila Wilson, Rick Flahr, Mary Kloster, Sacha Knorr, Sarrie Knorr, Joclyn Knorr, Chad Walz, Blakely Wilson, Aryanna Wilson, Naomi Knorr. The team was also joined by Nick Anderson, who was missed in the group photo. Farryn Reschny, Kanen Reschny, Blakely, and Havana Taylor were part of the kids' loop.
