REGINA — The University of Regina (U of R) has revealed a new chair of the board of governors.
Adynea Russell, who has served on the board since July 2022, has been elected to serve as chair.
Russell serves as a partner in MNP's Assurance Services group based in Regina. She also held several leadership positions at a national level, including MNP’s vice-president of assurance.
Overall, Russell has over 25 years of experience in public practice, working closely with enterprises to deliver audits, reviews, complaints, and more.
Russell also currently serves in the community as chair of the CPA Saskatchewan Professional Practice Committee.
She will replace the outgoing chair, Cadmus Delorme.
The board of governors has also elected Kyle Addison as vice-chair. Addison first joined the board in 2013 after being appointed by the province.
Addison is currently the chief operating officer of Mitchell Developments Ltd. and previously served as chief of staff to the Mayor of Regina.
For his volunteer experience, Addison is serving as Romania’s Honorary Consul to Saskatchewan.
Additionally, he was past chair of the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the George Reed Foundation, and a board member of the McMorris Foundation.
