CORRINE – Milestone RCMP responded to a report of a serious assault at a local business in Corrine on the morning of July 22.
At about 8 a.m. officers arrived at the scene, alongside Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and STARS Air Ambulance. An adult male victim was airlifted to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police quickly located and arrested an adult male suspect in a vehicle outside the business. Following an investigation 51-year-old Roel Dayaan of Weyburn has been charged with one count of aggravated assault.
A person, who didn't want to be identified, said the incident happened at the Corrine fertilizer plant.
Dayaan is scheduled to appear in Regina Provincial Court on Sept. 17.
