Marianne Bennett passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Pasqua Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Jack in 2000; parents John and Ida Burns; brothers Bill (Eileen) and Bud (Thelma); sisters Doris (Gordon) Campbell and Elsie (Bill) Kilpatrick; and brother-in-law Harold Hortness. Marianne will be lovingly remembered by her son Darwin (Jane) Bennett of Elkridge, SK; daughter Darlene (Allen) Olsen of Arcola, SK; sister Muriel Hortness of Sherwood Park, AB; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Marianne enjoyed 31 years as a Mary Kay consultant; her customers were her friends! She and Jack also made many friends as building superintendents at various apartments in Regina. For the last three years, Precious Memories was her home, where she enjoyed the company of the residents and staff.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all the staff for the care and compassion they extended to our mom. A special thank-you is also extended to the staff of 3D at the Pasqua Hospital for caring for mom during her last few weeks.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at the Regina Funeral Home, Hwy #1 East, Regina, SK on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Manor Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marianne's memory may be made to the William Booth Special Care Home, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK, S4R 8P6.
