Dad was extremely dedicated and proud of his family, which meant everything to him. He made enormous sacrifices to provide for his family. Dad was a very quiet man and did not have a lot to say. However, what he did say was usually filled with wisdom and provided guidance to his family and friends. Dad was a very dedicated and faithful servant of the Lord. Despite the incredible pain he was in, his faith in the Lord never wavered, right up to his death. Dad's big smile, sparkling eyes and generous hugs will be missed by all. We will miss you Dad, Grandpa and Opa. Love you.

A memorial service was held at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, Surrey, B.C. on Thursday, March 7, 2013. An internment and graveside service will be held for both Rudy and Frieda Serfas at a later date this summer at Arcola Cemetery.
