Estevan McDonald's to salute long-time, beloved employee

McDonald's in Estevan is inviting the community to come celebrate the retirement of Lorna Coate.

Lorna Coate has been a fixture at the Estevan McDonalds for more than 27 years.

ESTEVAN - The Estevan McDonald's is inviting the community to come and congratulate a beloved and dedicated employee who recently retired.

Lorna Coate retired on Jan. 7 after working at McDonald's for 27 1/2 years. During that time, she became well known in the community, not only for her longevity in the hospitality sector, but for always having a smile on her face and a friendly disposition when greeting customers in the drive-thru lane. 

She retired on Jan. 7.

A come-and-go retirement party will be held at McDonald's from 9-11 a.m. on Feb. 7. There will be a few short words shortly after 9 a.m., and complimentary coffee and cake will be served.

The community is invited to come and congratulate Coate on her retirement, and to join local franchise owners Chris and Tim Jenish and their family, as well as the entire McDonald's team in celebrating Coate and what she meant to so many people.
