Hockey Day in Bienfait will be March 10.

BIENFAIT - Hockey Day in Bienfait March 10 will showcase talented young players, with all three Miners' hockey teams playing.

The U9 Miners will be on the ice at 10 a.m. against Wawota, and they will be back on the ice at 2:45 p.m. to play Redvers. The U7 Miners will play Lampman at 11:30 a.m., and the U11s will face Lampman at 1 p.m.

"Come out and cheer on all three teams," states a Facebook page for the event. "Kitchen will be open for all games."

The door fees and any extra donations will be going to the trust fund for Robi and Jacoby Fleury. They are the children of the late Kolby Fleury.

"If you’re not able to attend, please consider sending a donation by e-transfer to jacobyrobitrustfund@hotmail.com."

Fleury died in February at the age of 28. The event's Facebook page notes that he was very involved with the Bienfait hockey family over the years, not only because of his "wonderful, fun personality", but also his very close relationship to Bienfait Minor Hockey's Fleck family, whom he grew up with. He coached Miners teams over the years.

"Let’s pack our barn on March 10th and do what Bienfait does best by supporting our hockey family."
